Cortana Kiwanis was founded in 1977 by Dr. Mort Levy with sponsorship of the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Baton Rouge.
Originally chartered by the merchants of Cortana Mall, Cortana membership has grown over the past 30 years to encompass many business professionals located throughout East Baton Rouge Parish.
Cortana Kiwanis promotes community service through meaningful service projects while having fun and fellowship together.
For over 33 years, Cortana Kiwanis Club has touched the lives of many families in Baton Rouge through hands-on projects such as Christmas and Thanksgiving basket deliveries, Youth Oasis, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, Children’s Miracle Network, Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic, Northdale Magnet Academy, an array of local Key Clubs and schools, the Hugh O’Brien House, Pictures with Santa and many other worthwhile projects.
Cortana Kiwanis is a local chapter of Kiwanis Internation whose motto is, “Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.”
Your support of the Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade will help us to do that right here in Baton Rouge.
