ABOUT THE PARADE

Every year, more than 80,000 people watch the parade live and thousands more enjoy it on television through the holiday season. The Parade is a celebration and a great way to connect with the community. The parade is open to everyone. Typically the parade includes about 80 entries. These entries are a mix of marching bands, celebrities, dance troupes, non-profit organizations, and local businesses in seasonal themes.

BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Head downtown early so you can catch the Battle of the Bands at 4 PM, featuring talented marching bands from the Baton Rouge area!

PARKING & POLICIES

Street parking and public parking garages are available. Ice chests, coolers, pets and strollers are welcome! Please remember to clean up your area after the parade. Outdoor garbage receptacles are available for waste disposal.
